Not Your Usual Macau Sauna: Clube Rio Is a Party First, Massage Second
Macau's newest door opened 30 July at the Hotel Rio: a private room, a companion who pours, sings and drinks with you — one for every friend — and an hour of therapist massage to land the night.
In this guide
Every few weeks our chat gets a version of the same confession: “Honestly? I don’t want a quiet spa evening. I want a night.” Drinks that don’t require flagging anyone down, company that’s actually fun, friends all in one room, and — because this is still Macau — a proper massage before the night lets you go.
Until last week we had to assemble that night from parts. Now there’s a door that serves it whole. Clube Rio opened on 30 July 2026 on the third floor of the Hotel Rio, in the ZAPE district on the Macau peninsula — and it’s the first venue we book that is a party first and a massage second, in that order, on purpose.
What this place actually is
Here’s the honest framing. Every other door on our list is a sauna that happens to entertain you — baths, lounges, treatment rooms, with the fun arranged around them. Clube Rio flips the recipe: the heart of the venue is a floor of private lounge rooms with serious sound systems, and the therapist massage is how the night ends rather than why it starts.
Yes, the rooms can run karaoke — it’s Macau, of course they can. But if that word makes you picture shouting ballads at strangers, relax: nobody hands you a microphone at the door. What the room is really for is this — you and your friends on the sofas, a companion seated with each of you, glasses that refill themselves, and music as the excuse rather than the exam. She sings; you join in exactly as much as you feel like.
The build itself is worth the taxi. Crystal chandeliers, backlit gold onyx, green velvet, art-deco marble floors — rooms run from an intimate suite to a party hall that swallows a whole crew. It opened a week ago, so all of it is box-fresh.
How the night actually goes
Doors run 7 PM to 4 AM (as of August 2026), and the night has a shape we can walk you through, because we’ve already sent groups in.
You message us, we book the room, and the free private-car pickup collects you — same as every venue we work with, anywhere in Macau. Third floor of the Hotel Rio, past the wine wall at reception, down a gold-lit corridor, and into your own room. No shared halls, no strangers.
Then the part that makes this place different: companion seating. A companion joins your room — she sits with you, drinks with you, sings with you, keeps the energy up and your glass suspiciously full. And this is the group move: every friend in your party can have their own. Not one host splitting attention six ways — a lineup you choose from (multinational, before you ask), one companion per person. Six friends walk in; twelve people are at the party. That first hour is the engine of the night.
Drinks-wise, you have a decision to make, and we’d like you to make it before the second round: the signature packages come in all-you-can-drink versions as an option. If your table is the kind where the bottle empties itself, say the word when you book and the arithmetic stops mattering for the rest of the hour.
Then the landing. The signature package chains that hour of companion time straight into one hour of therapist massage — the room, the noise and the toasts give way to a treatment table, and the night that was climbing suddenly glides. It’s the best sequencing trick in Macau right now: you leave loose instead of ragged.
One thing to plan around: the night ends. Clube Rio closes at 4 AM sharp, and there’s no overnight anything — no rest lounge, no sleeping rooms. The car takes you back to your hotel, which is exactly how a good party night should finish anyway.
What the night costs
Straight numbers so you can budget before anyone’s relaxed enough to stop counting — all as of August 2026:
- Companion seating (she joins your room to sit, sing and drink with you): three levels — MOP 1,300 / 1,500 / 2,000.
- Viet-style packages — one hour of companion time plus one hour of therapist massage: MOP 3,288–4,388.
- Tang-style packages — the same shape, upper shelf: MOP 4,088–5,088.
- Any package can be taken in its all-you-can-drink version — an option, not the default — so ask us which fits your table.
- Listed prices already include the 10% service charge — the number on the menu is the number you pay, with nothing added at the desk. Alipay and WeChat Pay work fine, as do cards and cash.
Prices follow the club’s current menu confirmed when you book — message us with your group size and we quote the real number for your actual night, and the quote is what you pay. The board has changed since August: as of 23 October 2026 it lists five packages at MOP 3,888 – 8,888, each as WALK-IN (1 hour of therapist massage) or Free-flow (drinks + therapist massage), plus a room minimum with free-flow drinks (4 hours) at MOP 2,888, all with 10% service charge and 5% tourism tax added on top. The Clube Rio page has the full board.
Who it’s for
Groups, first and loudest. A birthday crew, a bachelor party that wants glamour instead of chaos, four colleagues who just closed something — the one-companion-per-person format is built for exactly this, and the party rooms hold a full table of you. It’s also the answer for anyone who’s done the classic sauna circuit and wants a night with more voltage: if your last visit’s highlight was the bath, this one’s highlight is the room. And if you’re hosting — a client, a friend visiting Macau for the first time — this is the venue where you look like you know people.
Who should skip it
We’d rather steer you right than sell you a door. Skip Clube Rio if:
- You want to sleep over. The night ends at 4 AM, full stop. For an overnight lounge and a morning exit, look at Empire, Shang Pin or Number Nine — all 24-hour houses.
- You want a quiet, treatment-first evening. Here the massage is the encore, not the show. A calmer classic night is better spent at Empire or Manhao.
- It’s your very first Macau sauna and you want the canonical version. Baths, lounges, the full ritual — start with the six-venue guide and save this one for the celebration trip.
Worth knowing for the comparison shoppers: Majesty also runs KTV party rooms — but there it’s a sauna that added a party. Clube Rio is the party that added a massage. Different animals; we book both.
How to book it
It’s brand new, it’s busy, and the good rooms go first — so this is not the venue to walk up to at 11 PM and hope. Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with your group size, the night, and whether the all-you-can-drink option sounds like your table. We confirm the room and the current menu, arrange the free car, and have the lineup ready when you walk in. Zero booking fees, as always — you bring the friends, we’ll have the party standing by.
Sorted on which door? We'll set up the night.
Real humans, replies in about two minutes, zero booking fees.
