In Macau for MIF: Give One Evening to Your First Macau Sauna, at Number Nine
If the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair has brought you to Macau, one evening of the four can be your first Macau sauna. A guide to Number Nine Spa for someone who has never been: what a Macau sauna is, how choosing works on its stage, what the hour in a private room includes, the recliner and the add-ons, and a booking with our private car from your hotel.

If the fair is what brought you to Macau this week, most of your days already belong to the Cotai Expo: the halls, the pavilions and whatever you came to see. Somewhere in the four days there is usually one evening with nothing written in it. This guide is about giving that evening to something you have probably never done before, a Macau sauna, and about the house we would send you to for a first one.
The fair is the 31st Macao International Trade and Investment Fair, MIF for short, held at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October 2026. The first day is for trade visitors, the other three are open to the public free of charge, and this year the fair adds a new pavilion for Spanish-speaking countries. Any one of those four evenings works for what follows.
A Macau sauna, for someone who has never been
In Macau the word covers a whole house rather than a single hot room. You go for the evening, and the centre of the evening is an hour with a therapist in a private room. Around that hour, Number Nine has a stage where the choosing happens and a lounge of recliners for afterwards. Our first-timers page covers the general idea in more detail.
Why Number Nine for the first one
Number Nine Spa is inside the Royal Dragon Hotel in the centre of the Macau peninsula and opened in April 2026. Our venue page marks it as friendly to first-timers. The doors are open 24 hours. Therapists are on duty from 3 PM until 6 AM, so whichever evening the fair leaves free, there is a long window to use it.
As of October 2026, the menu at Number Nine runs from MOP 1,199 to MOP 6,999, with a 10% service charge added on top. Prices vary with the item, the length and the time of day, so take these as the range, with the current menu confirmed when you book.
How choosing works on the Number Nine stage
Number Nine is one of the houses where the choosing is a show. You tell the manager which series on the menu you would like, for example the oil series. The therapists on duty, a multinational team, then come out onto the fashion-show stage one after another under the lights, and you watch from the seats in front of it. When you have seen them, you tell the manager which one, and that is the whole of it.
The hour, one to one
The hour is spent in one of Number Nine’s themed rooms, and each is lit in a colour of its own: red, pink-violet or blue-violet. Usually it is one to one, you and the therapist you picked from the stage. The menu also lists a twin add-on (雙鐘), which puts a second therapist in the same room for the same hour, priced according to the series you chose. Whichever way you book it, if something comes to mind during the hour, tell her.
On the recliner afterwards
From the room, the evening moves to the lounge. On a recliner there, a different masseuse takes over for the two add-on services you get free when you book with us, and you choose them sitting there, from a list of eight: body scrub, leg massage, head massage, foot massage, fingernail care, toenail care, hand massage and ear cleaning. Number Nine also lets you stay the night. Sleep, if you want it, is on that recliner, and there are paid private rest rooms as well, priced when you book.
Quick answers before you message us
- “Is the hour a full hour?” Yes. The clock starts when your therapist starts work. Arriving and choosing on the stage are your own time, outside the hour.
- “How far ahead should I book in fair week?” There is no cut-off. Messaging us the day before is a suggestion that makes the car easy to time, not a rule.
The rest of our FAQ covers the smaller questions.
One evening, booked from your hotel
Book through us and a free private car collects you from your hotel, wherever you are staying in Macau, and the ride back is arranged in advance. The two free add-on services are for bookings through us only. The consultation is free. Tell us the evening (Thursday 22 October, say), how many of you, where you are staying and the series you would like, through the contact page, and we arrange the rest.
The fair writes the programme for your days. For the one evening left blank, tell us which night, and the rest is arranged.
Sorted on which door? We'll set up the night.
